A dedicated team of childcare professionals, set in a brilliant Hillam setting, welcoming you and your little ones.
sMy name is Rachael Peacock, I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and I have been successfully running two before, after school and holiday childcare settings at Hambleton and Monk Fryston since 2008. It has long been an ambition of mine to open a day nursery but finding the perfect location had been tricky. I wanted somewhere near my other settings with a rural location, a large outdoor space, a covered play area, a large room to accommodate all the children and lots of parking to make dropping off and collecting as easy as possible and I have found exactly what I was looking for at the Cricket Pavilion, Stocking Lane, Hillam, LS25 5HP.
The nursery shares the building with the cricket club but there will be no cross over in usage, cricket continues to be played between May and September at the weekends and occasionally on Thursday evenings after the nursery has closed at 6pm.
The conversion work was completed in November 2018 and included new insulation throughout the building, new heating and hot water system with low surface temperature radiators. Completely new children’s toilet area with child size fittings and regulated water temperature fittings to all taps. New uPVC windows and new doors all with finger guards. We also created a new outdoor play area and using the existing upgraded veranda area for outdoor all weather play.
We have absolutely loved welcoming our children throughout the last 4 years, our children all love the setting and the great facilities it provides and we hope all our parents feel safe in the knowledge their children are in the best possible place. We love letting the children explore and develop at The Pavilion with our amazing team of dedicated and experienced professionals.
In Spring 2022 Leighann Lowe became our new manager and thanks to the hard work from our team of Early Years Professionals in June 2022 we achieved an outstanding in all areas rating from Ofsted.
